Hello, I am an LPN in PA working as an "nurse assistant" alongside a CSN. I started this role last year and had no prior experience.The school we serve has approx 800 students. My coworker plans to take a leave next year meaning that I will be alone. There is a chance an agency nurse could help out but my gut tells me I will just be overseen by the other district CSNs. "Overseen" as in they will be there for any specific questions or needs. I am unable to find anything officially stating what duties a CSN can perform vs other nursing staff. Does such a thing exist, and where can I find it? What are some things that only the CSN can do in your PA school? Understandably I'm trying not to be taken advantage of on top of being stressed and alone. My coworker does significantly more in regard to the SHARRS report, screenings, and vaccinations and does so because she feels it's with in her role. We don't have any sort of policy regarding this matter and devised our own routines. If I will be performing the same job for MUCH LESS pay, and alone I seriously need to consider what I'm doing... any help is appreciated!
