Is there anyone from Northwestern that knows information about the waitlist? I am #4 and the school refused to tell me how many spots opened up

They are clearly behind! Don't worry, with being #1, you know a spot will be yours!

I'm surprised you haven't heard anything with being #1 on your waitlist. Maybe your school hasn't started calling.

I've checked my email and the portal. They're supposed to call first, but I have been looking in those places just in case.

Northwestern and I emailed selective admissions myself

I emailed admissions, and they now changed the date to May 5th for notice.

Yes, some people can't because they're not able to get the requirements done in that time.

I have talked to 4 people from selective admissions from my school including the head director, and that's true! They can even call you in December/beginning of January to ask if you'd like a seat.

No they only keep the required classes for the program. It's your NURS courses, anatomy 1 and 2, Microbiology, composition 1 and 2, stats, etc They won't add other previous pre-reqs (like chemistry and biology, etc) to help you keep your 2.7 GPA. If you go below a 2.7 you can be out on probation or can potentially get kicked out of the program.

Keep your head up! I've been reading on other articles how a lot of the schools utilize their waitlists!

Yes it's just off of the nursing classes. Such as anatomy 1 and 2, Microbiology, etc. The pre-reqs for those classes don't count toward the GPA (such as chemistry, general biology, etc). The specific classes listed in the nursing handbook are the only ones that generate the nursing GPA.
