Hi @chilly_penguin I'm currently in the Program! If you're not planning on working while in the program, I would recommend studying two to three hours a day outside of class time, if you're going to work a job during the program, study ALL DAY on your days off. We are at the end of this semester and it's getting very intense. We have challenging lectures exams every other week, group projects, skills validations for lab, and a lot of homework from Clinicals. This program is very demanding and time consuming. Start studying Dosage Calculations now! You have to get a 90 or higher on the math exam to stay in the program and You only get two attempts, if you don't pass the math exam after second attempt You get dismissed. This school is doable but it is honestly a lot, The Professors and Clinical Instructors are a great resource, if You seek help they are approachable and will go out of their way and work with You one on one if you're struggling. Keeping up with deadlines and time management is essential to make it through.

@Fruitnursing19 fall will be my first semester, what can I do now to prepare for Nursing 1? How did you study for your exams?

Good Morning Everyone! Did y'all get any confirmation email after paying the deposit to secure a seat in the cohort? After I paid my deposit on the portal, I never got a confirmation email that the deposit was processed. I just want to be thorough and make sure the payment went through before the April 2nd deadline!

They must have had a lot more applicants than expected if they are saying that they are behind.

I hope they tell us today, it's like they love keeping up in suspense LOL, we have waited patiently long enough.

@H3llokitty28 what was your coworker's experience with this school? Did he or she like their RN program and feel well prepared for The NCLEX?

@H3llokitty28 You can take the non nursing classes at WCC or any other accredited college in the area You live in!

@Futurenursej20 Hello! I'm not sure which is weighed heavily, the TEAS or GPA when it comes to being selected for admission into this school, it doesn't specify on the website, maybe both are equally important. How did you do in your TEAS exam? Are You currently in the healthcare field?

Wow a 96 on your TEAS exam! You scored very high! That score should be able to get into the program for Fall 2025! You got this!

I'm have two pre-reqs remaining, my TEAS score was an 88.3! How did you do your TEAS exam?

Hello! Has anyone on here applied for Fall 2025 Day Program at Montefiore School of Nursing in Mount Vernon, New York? I know that the deadline to apply has passed and the applications are being reviewed, does anyone happen to know how long it takes for the school to respond with an admission decision. Also is there any students on here who is currently attending Montefiore School of Nursing and can give any insight into the how the classes and clinicals are and what to expect?
