    Hello, I am interested in nursing however I am concerned that I will not be admitted into any programs due to the background check. I have a few misdemeanors and no felony's . I know Oakland Community College will not take any students with any prior criminal record no matter what is is. I am wondering if I have a chance to get into Wayne County Community College or any other Community colleges in the area that accept students with checkered pasts. I know I can get the charges expunged however there is a 5 year waiting period for that and by that time I could already be graduated and working. Does anyone have experience navigating this system?
