  1. USA psych nurse coming to AU

    Greetings from USA! I am in the beginning stage of transferring my USA RN license over to Australia. I am looking into jobs and am seeing jobs hiring for level 5 RN in mental health. I see what the Australian government website says you have to get a post-graduate certificate for this. We do not have this in USA so I am confused... Is it not a masters degree? anyone able to explain this? In USA we do not have levels of RNs... I have my bachelor's in nursing (which is a 4 year degree in USA) and have worked in mental health nursing for 6 years in USA. Will I be required to get a post graduate certificate in mental health before a applying for positions as a mental health nurse? Thank you for your time! Sara
