Were yall internal candidates? During my phone screen they said there wasn't a single ICU position available for BUMC other than neuro ICU.

All, if not most of the questions are situational. I was asked to name a time that I worked in a diverse team, had to prioritize something, dealt with a difficult patient, and a time I made a mistake. They also start the interview with asking you why you want to work on children's / be a peds nurse / work on that specific unit.

I got an email about booking a health appointment like 15 days before your start date. I believe they do the urine drug screen during that time.

I got an email from the recruiter and did not receive a call at all. Not sure if that's applicable to all units though.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the recruiter to get back to you after an interview ?

Does anyone know what the interview process is like? Which kinds of questions did they ask, I heard it's a mix of behavioral and situational.

I forgot to say but so did I this afternoon! Do you know how many people are interviewing for the PCU tele position and/or how many people they are accepting? The recruiter only offered me two times to pick from. I'm hoping it's not super competitive!

I applied and interviewed for Critical Care Float Pool and ED as an internal candidate, ED rejected me but I'm still waiting on Critical care float pool. Which units are you waiting on?

When did you hear back about the interview? I also put BUMC PCU/tele as my first option and did the phone screen in early February and have not heard back. I was also confused during the phone screen because the recruiter did not have much information about the unit and I couldn't tell if it was med surg tele or PCU.

Nope, I'm worried too and haven't heard back. I did reach out TWICE and did not receive a response. My theory is that they're waiting for people to accept offers before sending out rejection letters just incase they have to offer the position to someone else.

Nice! I was told that they would present my information to the unit and then further decide whether or not to interview me, so I didn't get the option to sign up for an interview. I wonder if it depends on unit and location?

Nope! They said I would hear back about interviews one week before March 17th, so I'm assuming around March 10th? Did they mention anything to you?

Yes I had my phone screen 2 weeks ago. The recruiter just asked me my top three Baylor locations, top three specialites, and why I want to work on my top unit.

Yup same I'm just waiting for my rejection letter LOL. I'm hoping that some units are taking their time but I doubt it.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Either there are not many people on this forum any everyone got calls Friday, or many of the units have not heard back, I'm hoping for the latter.

Oh no ? I'm hoping the unit is just taking a little longer to make a decision but most likely I didn't get the position.

I reached out today and did not receive a response. She did tell me that I would hear back by the 24th about a decision, but I did not get a phone call and I haven't seen anyone mention hearing back from my unit. I'm lowkey nervous I just wanna know already LOL.

So a lot of units don't make decisions for a while. Like I know PICU typically takes a longer, sometimes over a week after interviews are over to reach out. Most people hear back around Monday/Tuesday for most units from what I've heard.
