  1. No, I'm not even sure who they hired. We don't get updated with that info
  2. I'm in NICU, I don't think they had any new grad NICU this time around. But L&D is a tough one to get into. Both girls that got hired with me in L&D didn't have any medical background. Give it some time cuz I hear there are times that someone will initially accept and then will decline later or maybe not be able to pass the background/drug test.
  3. I had no medical experience and neither did a lot of people. But I also think it could depend on the unit your applying for.
  4. Just chiming in to say that usually the units only hire 1-2 people each cohort for the new grad. They don't really hire within. I'm finishing up the new grad program and when I got hired, it was 2 per unit, unsure if that has changed since then but no one worked at AHWM other than maybe 1 CNA but that's it.
  5. Hey yes, They seem to ask general questions for RN New Grad positions. They interview people all day, back to back, so they don't all have time to look at your resume. The first question was tell me about yourself. I think the nursing manager was happy with how I incorporated a work-life balance, as I brought up exercising as a stress reliever (shows balance). Other questions: Tell me about a stressful situation and how you handled it. Tell me a time you failed (this caught me off guard). If we asked your current employer how your attendance is, what would they say? They did not ask technical questions related to the unit, which was a relief. Asked about being okay with working night shift. For Tele, she asked which unit was my first preference, and I was honest and I said NICU.
  6. Hey Everyone, Yes, they said we would hear back by the end of last week. Seems like they had very few positions available in the units they were offering. I interviewed last Tuesday for Tele and NICU and received a call Thursday and was offered NICU at their LA location to start 3/31. I never heard anything from Tele though. Best of luck to everyone! For those who were offered a job, let me know so we can try to link up.
  7. Do we think KP is done doing their interviews for all locations? I'm a bit bummed out as I have been working for KP for 8 years now and never received a call about an interview or anything. It looks like Downey and possibly Anaheim are done. Those were my top choices. Going to keep looking for other RN New Grad Programs, just sad.
  8. Hey Everyone, I applied to 8 positions and heard back from 5 of them with the status as "Not Moving Forward" for NICU, OB, PEDS Acute, Delivery Room, and Progressive Telemetry. Waiting to hear back still from Acute Rehab, Neuroscience ICU, and Neuroscience Step Down. Seems like UCI is really tough to get into. Goodluck to everyone!
