  1. They provide us with some online module courses which are filled w lots of great educational info! its not something u can access until u get in the program bc they give you an access code for it tho, but its great!
  2. I love it so far! To be honest it is a lot to take in as a new grad bc of how much hematology oncology is. the learning curve is very steep. but its so cool to be a part of giving these pts a whole brand new system of cells. a lot of the pts are here for up to months so its also nice bc u get to be with them a lot and you get to rlly know them. and u meet them at all different stages in the process. u have some that are like newly diagnosed, others who are days away from transplant, others where theyre days/weeks post and u start to see the new cells kicking in and all the side effects that come w that. and unfortunately also pts who are on comfort care as well. but all these nurses are so unbelievably smart and know everything about hem onc and I think its a super interesting specialty. I wouldnt say it feels like a med/surg floor. our ratio is 1:3. I think the only "con" right now is that it can get hard to remember/understand the physiology and all with hematology cancers, so studying it on your own is super important to continue to understand the differences with the cancers and all the different treatments.
  3. Hi! I'm currently still in it. But the residency program is a full year long, filled with 1 weekly online lecture and some in person skills days. And we are on orientation with a preceptor for 16 weeks. We're on the floor 2 times a week and then one class day, which makes up for our full time schedule and its a good balance. After that you're on your own but still have a class day like once a month I believe. I'm currently on week 9 and the orientation process has been great so far! Everyone here is so supportive and the orientation is really setting us up for success in my opinion. It's a bit longer than other places bc the units are pretty specialized. let me know if you have any other questions! :^)
  4. omgggg im so happy for you! this is so exciting. at least we're in this tg! let me find out how to private message you!!
  5. I got offered a BMT position for nights! anyone else receive an offer? id love to connect!!
  6. oh gosh well we're in this together dw LOL! and she just said expect to hear back within 1-2 weeks. wbu? also, just curious, have u been successful in landing any other interviews? this was the only one I had landed after applying to soooo many places
  7. oh no. yeah I can relate. I felt like yea the vibe was off just because there were so many of them. only one of them I saw her constantly nod her head to my answers like in approval but the rest just stared blankly or kept their heads down. im assuming taking notes. I think all of them asked me at least one question. at the end they only gave me an opportunity to ask them 1 question so I feel like I took that as dang they don't want to hear from me anymore LOL. I feel like I couldnt get myself to feel comfortable at all throughout the interview so I kept stuttering and so I don't think I seemed confident rippppp
  8. Same. I feel like the aura was very serious and alot of silence after some of my responses haha. the first interview with the recruiter, she engaged a lot with me after my responses, but not with this interview. IDK I feel like my responses were good, but I may have seemed too nervous. did u feel similar or why do u think it was tough
  9. OMG congratulations! I wish you the best in your nursing journey!
  10. Did anyone else have a TEAMS interview today? How did you all feel like it went
  11. I just finished the first little interview with the recruiter. it seems like there's 2 more rounds of interviews if u get chosen. and they only have 6 spots available for March.. September cohort is bigger, like 25 she said. Goodluck to everyone! Lets not feel discouraged. we will get the job that is meant for us
