Hey! Sorry for the delayed response! Yes, SMU does provide clinical rotations but they are unpaid so I wouldn't consider them an internship. We rotate through adults, OB, pediatrics, mental health, etc. At these rotations we are assigned a nurse to shadow and help us practice skills. It's okay you don't have experience in nursing! Most people have unrelated first bachelors degrees. SMU does have many prerequisite such as anatomy, physiology, Microbiology, chemistry, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and more.

Hii Constance, I'm about to enter my second semester for the ABSN @ SMU. To my knowledge there is no internship opportunities in the clinical setting, but there are tutoring opportunities which I believe are 20/hour. For the most part, school feels like a full time job. lmk if u have more questions!

Hello everyone, any updates for anyone? I am so confused on how to do the background check and drug screen. I see nothing about it on the admitted portal. Anyone know how to do it?

Hi! I personally don't have courses in progress but I do know the start date for Sac is 9/2!

I did submit my immunizations . Why can't you access the portal? I have had some trouble w passwords and have had to reset them a few times. I need to get a TB test as well.

I submitted mine early January and just only heard back yesterday, so I think you still have some time!! Did you send all your final transcripts?

Don't worry! I've seen on here a lot of people never received the preliminary email. Is sac your primary campus?

I accepted my seat at Sacramento and payed my deposit! Congrats to everyone who's gotten in and good luck to people still waiting! Do any other Sacramento people want to connect? Let me know!
