You're not trying to get in the PICU at Doernbecher, right? I was told by the director from the OHSU program that they don't recognize PICU experience as fullfilling the ICU requirement. I've even had both adult and picu (congenital heart program) and they said they wanted me to go to an adult ICU for a year. (You gotta be kidding... was my thought at the time.) Keep trying to get into the adult ICU!!! You'll get in

I agree...trying to decide among programs is tough if you don't have a definite first choice. Congratulations on which ever program you decide ...perhaps we'll see eachother at SM. Would love to hear what you decide.

The interview was pretty painless. Mostly questions about what you have done as an ICU nurse....what you want to do. They asked a lot of questions to determine if you know what you're getting into in terms of lifestyle change,time committment, finances while in school etc. They also asked a lot of questions about the role of a CRNA and how it differs from an anesthesiologist. Nothing clinical. The programs (sm vs usc) are very different. I know a lot more about SM's but am open to USC's as well. It's a difficult decision. Yes, USC's interview should be much more relaxed since I know I have options. Congrats gongju on your acceptance to Kaiser.

Just found out I was admitted to SM for the class of 2008. Thanks to everyone on this board for all of the great info. I'm still interviewing at USC next week and then maybe I'll even have a choice. Anyone else find out today?

Hi everyone, I've been reading your posts for quite some time and now have my own interviews scheduled at USC and Samuel Merritt. (thanks for all the info BTW) I haven't seen much posted about these two programs. Anyone out there have any info regarding interviews for these two programs? thanks in advance

Congratulations on your invitation for an interview at Kaiser! I have an interview with Sammuel Merritt but haven't heard from Kaiser. I'm guessing that's not good news unless these are early applicant interviews....? Good luck
