  1. Questions about the 960 hours work experience requirement in AZ

    Hi everyone, I am a foreign nurse from Taiwan applying for a RN license in Arizona. Currently, I have passed my English requirement exam, CGFNS and the NCLEX-RN exam. I recently called to ask about my RN license application and was informed that I need to complete a Refresher Course because they said I am applying by exam and I have graduated for more than 2 years. But on the AZBN website one of the requirements states: Practiced as a nurse for 960 hours or more in the past five years. I met this requirement working as a full-time registered nurse for three years within the past five years back in Taiwan and I can provide documentation to prove it. Does the 960 hours need to be working in the US in order to count? Or does my overseas experience counts as well? Because taking the Refresher Course means that I need to spend at least another 6 months before I can get my license and start looking for a job.
