  1. Jackie you are absolutely correct!! Definitely fraud and theft.
  2. Plenty places will hire new grads! Don't be discouraged. Try starting in med surge and go from there. Also psych, and dialysis will hire you with no problem. Good luck.

There are usually strong policies around holidays. Typically most days are blackouts for being off. Some facilities have strong penalties so find out prior to doing so.
  4. That was the WRONG thing to do. First, the patient was already discharged before you got there. If the supervisor was so concerned they could have handled it with the patient's provider. Also, you NEVER take meds from another patient just because they are on the same medication. Patients are billed for it and now you gave it to someone else. If the board found out your license would be on the line. Your supervisor gave you very bad advice all around and their behavior was quite suspicious. You need to look up your scope of practice for your state. Don't lose your license over someone else's shenanigans.
  5. That's kinda hard to get around and make it sound good cause the board don't wanna hear all that. They will just ask why it was not done. . I would definitely set an alarm on my watch or phone q25 min in order to get to that patient on time.
  6. What state are you in? Also try agency as PRN. It'll be a higher rate and you can work less hrs until you get your mental health together.
