  1. I don't think I have anything special tbh. I have a BSN and my license already. No medical experience, no volunteer work even. I do have a past work history in education. During video interview, I focused on their values as a hospital and valuing teamwork (seems to be one thing you should always mention when you can). During the interview, I connected with her in that we went to the same nursing school. I was able to answer most of the clinical questions she asked, and when I struggled I offered the knowledge I did know. And with personal questions I focused on valuing team work again, always learning (in personal life too), and my personal lifestyle improvement journey. These are things it seemed she was happy to hear from me. I also tried to maintain an attitude of if it's meant to be it will be, and any program would be lucky to have me on the team! When asked where I see myself in 5 years, I said I would ideally be on the same unit I start a new grad program in, continuing to gain experience in not just nursing skills, but in leadership (charge nurse) and as a mentor to new incoming nurses. I hope this helps, and at least gives hope that you don't have to have an exceptional medical work history, or already know someone there to help you get in.
  2. I got an offer for cardiac progressive on the spot during my interview ? I was starting to lose hope I would ever get anything ?
  3. They had a panel and first went over each unit, they have 3. Then they asked why OR nursing, why loma linda, if I could describe what a circulating nurse does, which unit I would be interested in, am I willing to stay for 3 years, am I willing to be on call. There weren't any scenario questions.
  4. yes, last cohort it took them until the last week of interviews to start scheduling. It depends on the unit. Which unit did you apply for?
  5. No, never even got the interview unfortunately. I was holding out hope cause I didn't see anyone on here talking about it, so figured they were late but I think it's past the time-frame for interviews now
  6. When I applied for the last cohort, it was why loma linda/department and why are you a good fit for them
