  1. How hard is it to get an RN residency position in California if you didn't go to nursing school in California?

    So I am currently in an ABSN program in Austin, Texas. I am originally from Southern California and am wanting to move back, but want to know more about the process of starting a nursing job there. I know I would have to get my license in California, but is there anything else I would need to do? Has anyone else done this? I have heard that it can be hard to get a residency position in California if you didn't go to school there so I'm wondering if I should just start a residency program here and then move after. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
