Hello I took an ANCC certification test about 10 years ago for nurse eductors. The credentialing was for staff development and continuing education. I got to tag a C on with my credentials. I don't think they offer this one any more. Too bad for us that are in our age group, with many years of teaching, with a BSN, but don't want to go back to school again for a MSN, that they don't have this certification still available. Hello, I work for Banner Health, here in the Phoenix area. At Banner, we offer the AORN PERIOP program to train nurses outside of the OR to be OR nurses. It involves classroom as well as precepted experience working in the OR. When done, they have a job in the OR. For more information, contact [email protected]. Hope that helps

Hello, We are going to conduct an OR Fire Safety drill in 3 weeks. I was wondering if anyone had any written scenarios? Also, just wondering, if in your hospitals, the circulator nurse includes a "prep is dry" statement as part of the time-out? Appreciate any help you can give me.
