Hi all, I have been accepted into both Linfield's MEPN and OHSU's ABSN starting in 2025. I am super excited about starting nursing school but am trying to learn a little more about the programs before I have to make my choice. I have just a few more weeks to decide. I am interested in the MEPN but it is practically twice as expensive. I have also read that Linfield requires a lot of reading and writing assignments (presumably because it's a Master's). Normally that wouldn't phase me but I have a little kiddo at home now and time is very limited! Here are some questions if anyone has time to answer them: Did/do you feel like Linfield or OHSU are preparing you to take the NCLEX and work as a nurse? How large is the workload for either of the programs? How much do the programs focus on clinical experience and practical skills? Is it 50/50 class work to clinical experience? Have you had a good experience with your instructors? Are you happy to have attended the program that you chose or do y oh regret your choice? Thanks for talking with me!
