  1. Hi, I am planning on applying to the University of Kansas nursing program this fall, but I am unsure if this is even feasible for me. I currently have a 3.97 GPA as an incoming sophomore. I have volunteered in two different units at two different local hospitals. I have also done about 24 hours of shadowing in total between 3 different units and plan on shadowing more. I have been working as a unit secretary at a local hospital and recently got my CNA certification and plan to get a bit of experience in that position as well. I know KU nursing is extremely competitive, but it's my dream school and I want to know what I can do to improve my chances. Would anyone who has gotten accepted be willing to share a bit about their stats, etc? Thank you so much!
