  1. We had a couple skills check-offs in the Summer, but they give you lots of time to prepare and practice. I don't recall taking a lot of exams during the Summer semester, mainly just weekly assignments and weekly quizzes. The Fall semester is usually where you have most of your skills check-offs and was probably the most intense semester because you also start clinical. For me personally, the hardest classes were adult health 1&2. They required a lot studying because you typically have a quiz every week. Preparing for skills check-offs can also take up some time during the week depending on how quick you learn. I probably struggled the most with balancing my studying for adult health and completing assignments for clinical. Exams are usually towards the end of each half semester and our instructors have been pretty good at letting us know how we should prepare. The instructors are aware of how intense our schedules are, but it's not uncommon for lengthy assignments to be due within the same week because the foundation year is very short. The program is intense but doable, it's all about time management.
  2. Okay so from what I can recall, in the Summer we had classes Monday-Thursday and we had Fridays off. We had our skills class on M & T between 8am-12pm. You'll be split into groups, so depending what group you're in will determine what time your skills class starts. We had Adult health lecture 2x a week on Monday afternoon from 1-3:15pm and then again on Thursday morning from 9-11:15am, on Wednesday we had our foundations lecture from 10-12pm, we had an Aging & Disability online course with dedicated work times on T &Th between 1-4pm. The online course switches to a hybrid course during the second half of the Summer. That class meets T & Th 1-4pm, some days are strictly online and some days are in-person.

  7. I just contacted admissions. I was told that we could hear back as soon as February but potentially into early March???
  8. Same! I got my blue card in the mail the other day. I'm hoping decisions come out within the next 2 weeks.
