Hello all! I have been an RN for 4 years. I graduated in 2021 with my ADN and took a job in outpatient surgery right after passing my NCLEX while completing my BSN. I worked as a Pre-op/PACU nurse (low acuity setting) for about 1.5 years. I made the decision after to go into school nursing for the simple reason that my son was starting kindergarten and I needed the work/life balance. I am really wanting to get out of this role and into a more traditional nursing role but having a hard time. I assume this is bc I never completed a residency program and just lack bedside experience. It's super frustrating and I feel like I am doomed to be a school nurse FOREVER! I have applied to several RN fellowships and am having no luck there either. I'd appreciate any advice on how I may can transition out of this role. TIA :)
  2. hello! I applied for the October 24 fellowship and haven't heard anything either way. Does anyone know if I should expect to hear from them if they passed on my application or do they only reach out if they want to continue the process? thanks in advance!
  3. Hello all! I am applying for the October 24 cohort. Did you all attach a cover letter, references and/or you BLS in online application area or just your resume? TIA
