Accelerated. I thought about the 2 year BSN at PLU Tacoma but I do better with online classes and in-person labs. Yes the drive won't be pretty but maybe I can ride share or take public transportation.

I got in but decided to decline the offer as I'm heading to PLU instead. Hopefully one of you here will get placement at TCC.

And another week goes by with not hearing anything back from TCC.

Yep. That's exactly what I had as well. Exactly the same. But didn't make it. I don't understand why.

It was not a GPA thing. I was on the Dean's list for the past two years but that wasn't what they were looking at. They were looking at who can obtain the highest number out of 14. I had 9 because a) I am not part of the military b) I am not the first person in my family to go to college and c) three other points not counted. Again only 22 people out of almost 300 people were accepted. Not very good odds.

Didn't get in. 9 points. ? They only had 22 spots open.

Well today is the day. Curious if they will extend it another week or so.

I'm curious when other students, who are currently in the program, were told that they were accepted into the program? A few weeks prior to starting? I don't know anyone who is currently in their nursing program

She did not have much information to give me but to have your application materials ready for applying in the Winter quarter.

According to an advisor they received more than 400 applications and do not plan on releasing the candidate information mid or late August. As a reminder, the Winter application for the nursing program starts August 1st through Sept 1st.

So you got into the Radiology program? If that's the case, excellent!!

Hi. Pierce College is not offering their Nursing Program for 2024 (I know this thread is a year old but if anyone wanted information for this year....). They said it was beyond their control. Possibly a staffing issue.

July 16 2024: Have not heard anything yet. The suspense is a bit overwhelming.

I applied to Tacoma Community College's Nursing program on June 30th. Has anyone else applied and have you heard back yet? The new scoring system out of 14 points, gave me only 9. I hope that will be enough to qualify for their program.
