  1. Well I don't know where to start. I was revoked for some vulgar expression of words to the board. Then I was able to be reinstated. I had a 2 year contract however I was only able to complete 1 year. Now a dead end with no job. However I do have bipolar and I am considering disability for an answer. Can anyone share their thoughts on this? I just feel that everywhere I turn its humiliation without having cash in hand. I think with disability I could overcome this hurdle of nursing in my path. I do not know if it would be enough to survive on but something is better then nothing. Any ideas?
  2. That made me laugh when you said she did it again and was fired. Thats true.... avoid the monitoring if possible because if you had to find another job it may be extremely difficult. I could never figure this out about being unencumbered license. Why was it all or nothing. Also if they have reinstatements why do they revoke them if there is a chance to be reinstated. I could not figure that out with the employer either. If you were allowed to work you should be allowed to freely.
  3. Yea I wondered how that would work. Dealing with a specific set of Drs would not be ideal. Yes I have a case manager however I think what I am going to do is undergo a new psychological evaluation and present everything to the psychologist. I learned the evaluations are different. A psychological evaluation is not the same as a nurse practitioner assessment by my own provider.
  4. Yes... I did not cuss them or threaten them however. I disclosed a written explicit thought on suicide. That was back in 2011. I've been reinstated and worked 1 year. I was diagnosed with bipolar in 2004. I am in the mental health track and wondered if having a diagnosis change would change anything.
  5. Texas....... I was acting ridiculous and said foul language comments to them. I live in Oklahoma. I just wondered what would happen if I were able to have my diagnosis changed. Isn't it private between the pt and the Dr? They are easily able to change a diagnosis I believe but I do not really know how to go about it. I have state medicade also so I am able to see different drs.
  6. Here is also where I am. I am an LVN and Last year I got a bachelors degree. I asked the Board if I could Teach school and they said yes. I don't know any other specifics on it however I still have 1 year left of probation. If the teaching will work should I just pack up and go where the wind blows?
  7. I am on probation in nursing. What would it do if I were able to change my bipolar diagnosis? Would that be able to change anything with the Board? What would I have to do to have that changed?

Hello I live out of state from a state I am licensed in. I have 1 year left of probation. I have insurance. I wanted to ask if there were any way to use the insurance to be a patient to get hired. I have bipolar so I could see the psychiatrist. I guess I could also find a primary care physician. I just wanted to find out if there were any short cuts using the insurance?
