Does anyone have any literature or personal anecdotes regarding the problems and ineffectiveness of computer-based modules for professional development nursing? Is anyone else experiencing the "death by <insert LMS name here>”? I feel like health systems have shifted so dramatically to online learning because it is easy to assign to all nurses/employees quickly, but that actual learning is no longer occurring. Nurses just click through without actually paying attention because they have SO MANY modules now being required. I feel if the goal is to actually promote learning we need to move back into the classroom for most domains of learning.
