My license was recently suspended and will be for about a year due to a theft charge, in the meantime, I need a job. Just wondering what types of jobs other nurses have worked after their license suspended or have lost their license?
Recently lost my nursing job after my employer found out I was charged with Gross misdemeanor theft/shoplifting a few months ago. I went to court and have a state of adjudication. In the meantime, I need to find a job, but I worried because my background shows up as pending/open theft case. Chargers will be dismissed in about six months and I'll be able to get them expunged at that time as well. Has anybody been able to get a new nursing job with a pending background?
Don't answer any questions, don't volunteer any information, don't say anything at all to anyone- no friends, no family, especially don't say anything to or have contact with your employer until you speak with and hire an attorney. Period.
I had a complaint filed to the BON. BON is proposing a "stayed suspension" on my license. Meaning my license is not actually suspended, rather the possibility of suspension is basically hanging over my head if I do not comply with the board's order of entering and successfully completing my state's monitoring program for CD history. I'm in the process of looking for a job, how do I explain this to potential new employers? Would anyone even want to hire me with this "situation" I am in? Is this considered a restriction on my license or not being I am able to practice in full without limitations as long as I comply with the monitoring program?
