  1. It's fine as long as you get things done before the final due date, but definitely do it ASAP. This is important if you no longer have immunity from some vaccines and need to get series redone; it doesn't need to be finished, but as long as it's in progress I believe. It's still quite early so expect more information likely in the next two months through email, but this page will answer most if not all your questions for Cohort 53 and has instructions for Complio: https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/absnadmittedstudentinfo.html Congrats and good luck!
  2. Current student here! I stumbled upon this thread when I was looking for an older post. You are correct--the website says Cohort 50 which is the Summer cohort that the staff is busy getting onboarded. Fall 2025 will be Cohort 51. You'll probably receive all the info about orientation and everything once all the seats for your cohort will be filled (so they don't have to keep sending out the same emails in batches). The deadline for getting the initial Complio stuff done is right before the semester starts so it is not due for y'all anytime soon, but I recommend getting familiar with the requirements. The whole titers process can be time-consuming if you receive any negative titers (except for TB). Congrats on getting in ?
  3. Have you signed up to take the missing courses yet? That would be your first step. It's hard to gauge where you would fall since your pre-reqs aren't completed and that may boost your cumulative and science GPAs. Have you looked at the admissions requirement for each school to figure out what you need? There's nothing wrong with doing a ADN over an ABSN if that's what makes sense financially for you. There are many RN-to-BSN programs that are online--I have a friend who is completing a program concurrently while getting her ADN. It doesn't matter where you get your degree whether it's a private school or CC because it won't matter when you're working in the same hospitals as co-workers. I can't speak to other programs because I only applied to CSUSM ABSN because the requirements were simple (quantitative only) and they didn't have an expiration date on pre-reqs. A lot of schools do and I didn't want to retake several classes. I was able to calculate my score from their guide and figure out where I stand from their admissions statistics on their website. If anything, I would have liked to do an ADN program and then RN-BSN because it's cheaper but the CCs in my area are more competitive than CSUSM. But ultimately, I would have needed to spend more time re-taking those pre-reqs and that just wasn't worth it to me when I could go back to school sooner and start working sooner.
  4. It's 2 weeks from the date that you received the offer letter. If you're waiting to hear back from other schools, I hope you get the results soon!
  5. Just received my conditional admission to the program! Good luck to everyone and hope you all hear from them soon!
  6. According to the CSU website, the deadline is at 11:59PM on the last day the application is available so you're likely fine - I imagine that they do evaluations in the order of applications received so you might just be near the end of their list and they probably got an increase in applications that last week too. If you feel inclined to double check, you could try calling the admissions office to confirm they received your application or get an ETA!
  7. Wow, that's crazy! I'm glad it worked out for you so perfectly with timing and it's definitely a big bonus that you get to stay in Temecula! Good luck with finals and keep us posted on how nursing school is! ?
  8. Hopefully soon! It's only been a month since the application closed so they're probably just finishing up the last of the evals for people who submitted closer to the deadline. I saw someone mention on a previous thread that they started rolling out admissions after the fall semester starts because they're busy getting new students situated. Fingers crossed!
  9. I looked at National University last year but their NCLEX pass rate has dropped quite steeply the past few years ? TBH I think the shorter commute for Temecula campus is worth it for you! I read somewhere on here that clinicals are randomized though so some people have clinicals far from where they live even if there are locations closer to them. I would be driving in from SD and I'm not particularly excited about the northbound commute but I'll take it for what it is ?
  10. I only applied to CSU San Marcos and if I get in for Spring 2025, I might turn it down and be placed back in the pool for consideration for Fall 2025. I did look at other schools very briefly, and I might consider applying to them down the line, but hopefully I won't have to! What about you?
  11. Thank you for making this thread - I was literally looking for one this morning! Got my application confirmation email on 3/28 and submitted the application around mid-March. Received my evaluation sheet today and got 40 points!
