  1. I was a little upset. Because I have a 4.0 GPA got 87.4 on my HESI yet was not picked. I figured it's the comment about the grad rate and maybe me not explaining what happened in my previous program. When I asked if it was my score, I was told my score is great and that some people had to re take it. Because of the price they were asking and me being a little upset. I guess I got a little ? sore and I didn't bother to do another interview. IDK I'm like if they didn't like my question and acted like that what is gonna happen when I need to be supported in their program? Honestly, I'm hearing a lot of negative things about nursing I do have an AA in behavioral science and psychology. All this competitiveness and people don't even want to stay as a nurses. I mean did you see and hear about the nurse that got beat up in Florida, that's crazy. And we are lining up to sign for that and I'm not even getting anywhere. Maybe I dodged a bullet? If I had the money I would've kept trying but money is tight right now. So if you can do it more power to you. Please let me know your honest opinion about the program. I did apply for some community colleges near me but was accepted into cal state for psychology. So I figured I'll do that and if something happens and I get in great but if it's psychology I guess that's OK too. It's probably less stressful then nursing. IDK we will see congratulations and good luck
  2. Yes. I was in a previous nursing program in a community college but got an excused withdrawal and it was a year I couldn't go back there. Someone really close passed away and I was just trying to hold it together but I didn't want to also let go of my dreams I wasn't doing well while I was there. I couldn't explain that in my interview because it was a group interview. I also had a medical assisting degree in 2004. I emailed the interviewer if she could give me any advice on how to improve for the future but didn't hear from them. Their grad rate was 71 percent at 100 percent time but 94 at 150 percent time. So I mentioned it and asked what those people had trouble with that they couldn't graduate on time and they seemed to have gotten really upset about it but the info was given to me by them in their application. They kept asking me where I got the numbers and I showed them, it was in their application. I don't know I think I have a tendency of pissing people off and I don't mean too.
  3. Thank you. I got 87.4 overall I think. I prepared for my interview by looking up interview questions for nursing school and YouTube interviews. I also practiced in the mirror and wrote all my questions down. But I didn't get in. I'm not sure why. I got As in all my prereqs and was prepared for the interview. I had transfer credits. It was really expensive so honestly, there was no love lost there. I'm just very curious why I didn't get in. I was in the Los Angeles location but GCU offered me a scholarship to go to their ABSN program in Las Vegas but I don't really want to move and I can't seem to find grad rates anywhere for them anyone heard of them?
  4. Thank you. I got 87.4 overall I think.
  5. Hi I'm registering to do the ADN program at American Career College and was looking for reviews or any advice about this college. I'm going to the one in Los Angeles.
  6. Is failing two courses and you're out a policy from the board? When you fail a course does everyone go to Summer remediation? What happens if you don't do well in Summer remediation after failing a course. Is that considered a failed course? Does anyone know where board written policies like that are? So I withdrew and apparently that was a second exit but I didn't fail two courses and I'm unable to go back but I feel like everyone else had two chances to fail a course. I had to leave.
