  1. Anybody want to make a Facebook group for the this acceptance class of 2027? I would but I don't have a FB account, I just use my finances
  2. Thought I would get an email first, reading this chat I saw they could call instead. Went to check my voicemails and had a message from MTSA. Looks like I made the cut. Would encourage everyone to check their voicemails, congrats guys. Praying for those who did and didn't.
  3. I also received my interview invitation Tuesday. I have 2 and 1/2 years of ICU experience with 3 1/2 years of total nursing experience (the first years was Cardiac PCU). I have my CCRN along with my CMC, CSC, and TNCC. I have 40 hours of anesthesia shadowing experience and held a cardiac seminar for my church during heart health week. I do not have a lot of charge or leadership experience because I did a few travel assignments. MY GPA and Science GPA our both right around a 3.5. Sadly, I did not study for my GRE and did poorly, (292 with a 4.5 writing), and need to retake it LOL.
  4. Yeah I emailed admissions this Friday because I had not heard anything and they said that they send the invitations out in waves, and that they will send them out until Monday. Like you mentioned probably won't hear over the weekend, so everyone will know my Monday! I just hope they have some acceptances left LOL
  5. Passed the CMC with a good score recently and yes there are non-cardiac questions on your exam, not many but some. I purchased and used the cardiovascular nursing education association (CNEA) study questions. In my opinion a lot of what they were teaching on their CMC section was way to in-depth. The greatest resource is for sure the AACN study question, even though there are not very many. The other rescources are the cardiac and multisystem sections from the Barrons CCRN study guide and the Mometrix CMC secrets study guide. I would do the AACN questions and reference my book to the topic of the question while studying. VERY HEAVY on hemodynamics and swan numbers. Outside of that, I felt the most difficult part was like long term prognosis questions. For instance, who is best candidate for heart transplant. All in all I thought the CCRN was harder than the CMC because of how diverse the CCRN question were. The CMC is definitely more in depth about cardiopulmonary care, but you know what you're going to get. The CCRN was too diverse and broad IMO.
