  1. Is there a fb group for the Houston campus?
  2. me too!! hopefully in a week from now we should know our decisions:)
  3. Hi Leo! I talked to the nursing department last week and they told me eligibility emails are emails that are only sent to students if their applications were not eligible and that if you have not received one then your application is eligible for consideration. was that how it was for you when you applied in fall?
  4. Hi erin, I talked to a J2 student at the Houston campus who told me that they look heavily onto GPA and TEAS scores the most. They only consider essays for students that score lower than competitive scores for admission usually, but it is still good to do well on your essays regardless. I believe you will be set for admissions!
  5. I have not received my eligibility email either, but I did receive an email from them a month ago about certain things that have to be done by the end of august for applications. Im just worried about when we hear back since other cohorts had already recieved their eligibility emails around this time from TWU last cycle
  6. Hi we are just posting our overall GPA. TWU tends to look at our science GPA more closely. My advisor said the competitive science GPA was 3.7+. I hope that cleared some things up for you.
  7. Hi does anyone know when we are supposed to get eligibility emails? Also does anyone know people that didn't get into TWU Houston at least? My neighbor applied with a 3.8 but a 80 on her TEAS and she didn't get in so it's making me really nervous?. I thankfully was able to retake some classes before the deadline to help my application but I am still worried
  8. Hi if you are able t, I would try and re do a class that's not one the 7 nursing pre reqs to up your overall GPA
  9. Hey! I talked to an advisor this week and she told me we have to use our TWU emails. I contacted castle branch and was able to make the email switch in a week! I would say to contact as soon as possible
  10. Hi I think you can get in! if you are applying to Dallas I would retake the TEAS for a higher score because I talked to the TWU advisors. They said competitive GPA and TEAS scores are a 3.7+ and a 84+ for most students applying. I'm currently retaking non nursing pre req classes (like arts and English)vfor fall semester to up my GPA.
  11. thank you and congrats on such commendable stats! Also do we have to do our background checks in our twu email or can we do it in our personal emails?
  12. also does anyone know how long it will take once our nursing has application is verified to hear back on decisions? the waiting is nerve wracking!
  13. hello everyone! I am about to apply for the Houston campus and wanted to know everyone else's stats? I'm applying with a 3.6 GPA and a 98 on the TEAS and I wanted to know how the process is going for everyone. I have to complete the remaining arts and education classes to be core complete for credit transfer as well. Also does anyone know how important these personal statements are to the nursing can application?
