  1. Do you know if it matters whether the appointment is online or in person? Or does it have to be in person? And did you do 1 hour or 30 min?
  2. Did u confirm your seat? Check your spam email
  3. This is my first choice too. I feel like Grossmont has a better reputation than Palomar in terms of NCLEX pass rates and attrition rates, and I like the smaller campus size better, even though its older than Palomar's campus.
  4. I had 92 points. According to the Grossmont thread, if you have above 91 points, you have a pretty good chance of getting in. Some people with 88+ points got into the waitlist
  5. Got mine too! Now where do we submit the immunizations LOL
  6. For you guys who accepted your seat, did you receive a confirmation email for the notice of intent to join? I got the email but I am not able to view the full entry link
  7. I submitted it in the second week of the app period. And they said they will give us info about the tests and vaccines after the provisional acceptance is lifted
  8. I got in too with ~92 points! For those of you still waiting and curious, the email said we have until October 10 to accept our seat. All official transcripts must be sent by Oct 24.
  9. According to ChatGPT: They rank applicants by total points (multi-criteria system). They likely notify accepted candidates in batches or as acceptances are processed (from highest scoring down). The timing of emails may depend on administrative processing, not strictly alphabetical order. I have around 92 points, which is close to (or the same as) @Raywwilson, so my guess is that they just send them out in random batches. Regardless, we will hear within this week ?
  10. Wow now I'm getting nervous. Do you guys know if they send them out in alphabetical order, or some other way? To those that got in, what letter does you last name start with? And congrats to those who got in!
  11. Just curious, how many points does everyone have? I'm at 90-92 points if they accept everything. Also, is Grossmont everyone's first choice?
  12. They said 30-60 days after applications close, so according to that we have around 2 weeks left, its taking soo long
  13. I was thinking the same, it's making me a little nervous
  14. Some other ADN programs I applied to say they won't send out decisions until the first week of November. Grossmont doesn't give any date, but it could possibly take that long here too
  15. I have 87-92 points, depending on if my language and personal statements are accepted. I know it's still very early, but does anyone know when we will start hearing back?
  16. I have 86-91 points depending on whether they accepted my language and special circumstances. I spoke to a counselor a couple months ago, and she said that for the special circumstances, they mainly just care about whether or not you reached the minimum word count, so we'll see.
  17. Hello, just making this post to hear from nursing students that got accepted into an ADN or a BSN program in San Diego. For those who got accepted, which school(s) did you get accepted to, and how many points did you have? I am just asking to see how my odds of getting in are, Thanks!
  18. Generally, the Spring semester is less competitive than fall, and a lot of people got in with 23+ points this fall (according to the fall allnurses post). So I would say that you have a good chance of getting in. By the way, how was the TEAS test? I'm applying next year after I finish my pre-reqs and I haven't taken the test yet, is it hard?
  19. Do you happen to have a link to the powerpoint by chance?
  20. I haven't finished all my pre-reqs yet, but I expect to graduate with a 4.0 science GPA. I did pretty bad in English and an elective (which was so much harder than I was expecting it to be ?) so that's why my GPA dropped. Depending on what I get on the TEAS, maybe 23-25 points. If you got in, how many points did you get?
  21. This will be my last question: Is GPA not considered at all for getting into this program? If so, would a 3.75 GPA be competitive at all? ...Sorry for asking questions so late LOL
  22. Do you guys know if classes taken at a different community college (CA) will count for the nursing program? The nursing program consists of classes such as General Psychology, English Composition, Humanities/Fine arts, etc. I have already taken these classes at my cc, would they transfer or do I have to retake them while in the nursing program? At the end of the list it says "1. No course substitutions," so that is why I am asking.
  23. I am taking my pre reqs at a cc in California, and our semesters start a few weeks earlier than at Collin College, but I guess I can just work something out with my school in case that does happen
  24. I have a question, If you are applying while one class is in progress, do you not count the points from that class? Would you even recommend me to apply while in progress, or should I just finish the class and apply next semester? Also, if I get accepted into the program in the middle of my next semester (undergrad), what do I do? Would I just drop all my classes and go to the nursing program LOL
