Future Nurse 2029

I am being told that prereqs are needed for the LVN program but I was told by an advisor that I wouldnt need any. Im so conflicted

Hello I would like to know if there are some campuses that students prefer over others. Are some campuses more helpful ? Are the professors more more helpful and understanding than others?

Thank you so much for this. I applied for the LVN Im waiting hear back . Since, the ADN seems to be more rewarding I was like I may as well go for my associates and just get it over with....I love that Dallas College offers that flexibility and Im honestly relieved that I applied with them.

Wow, thank you so much for responding and providing that insight. With that being said would it be realistic to say that I could work mon-fri from 8-4 or 5 and still be in the program ? Im very to hear that its organized

Hello, I hope your program is going well. I am applying to the ADN fall 2025 cohort and would like to know what are the class schedules like. I notice in the earlier post some mentioned evening classes . Im trying to see if I need to save and apply next Jan or if the schedule would allow me to apply for this fall and work during the day

Not sure if anyone has asked this in any other forum, but what is Collins' policy on acrylic nails and eyelashes? My friend's school said they can have really short nails as long as they are French or natural tone colors. No lashes.

Were you all given the option to purchase books on your own to save money or were they provided by the nursing program in a kit ?

Did anyone get the email about registration being pushed back for fall? If selected, wouldn't we still need to register for courses for fall. I'm assuming that if that's the case then they would tell us within the next week or so. The students selected for the program would need time to register. Maybe I'm overthinking this bc of nerves . ?

Yes . She said if I had any questions feel free to reach out to her. My stomach is in knots. Once I saw that they extended the deadline for LVN until 3/8 I was even more nervous.

I read some other forums and calculated my points. Fingers crosses that I get in. The DON said it would be within the next 4 weeks whenever I called. Yikes!

Has anyone received an update? I applied to the LVN program and I'm so nervous. Also how are the points calculated?
