Hopefully we hear this week. Surprisingly we are in mid April already and still no word post-interview.

Got rejected on 4/12/2026 at 5:08p PT. Applied about a month before the app deadline. For those wondering, I had a 4.0 postbacc GPA, 3.6 undergrad B.S. GPA, 3.7 MPH GPA. Had ~3000 direct pt care hours as MA, clinical assistant, etc. Lots of public health research, community service, and medical volunteering. Not too concerned as I received an admission to a few other schools already. Good luck to everyone!

you can accept now, and drop later if you need/want to. it's a bit unprofessional to do so, but people do it all the time. If you do do this, expect to lose your deposit at schools that require one. you likely will also be 'blacklisted' from ever going to ucla for nursing in the future (whether for mecn or some other advanced nursing degree such as DNP).

"admitted" on the MyUCLA portal only, but no admission letter yet. My grad application looks the same as it always has (just green check marks on everything)

Set up the account for MyUCLA right now. Logged in and at the top of the page it says, "Congratulations on your admission [for MECN program] to UCLA! To attend UCLA, you must formally accept your offer of admission and provide us with additional information as soon as possible." No changes to my grad application portal (just all green check marks). submitted my app on the last day, GPA was 3.6 for those wondering. minimal to no clinical work. heavy research background, career changer / non-trad

Correct, the numbers I listed are the sticker price (so more the worst case scenario). The final debt burden would depend on a lot of factors and likely much lower as students typically will find work during school, obtain scholarships, use savings, etc.

Unless you are living rent free, you will likely be taking out more than 200k. GEPN tuition: $75.164 Health Insurance (GEPN Year); $3,422 MSN (Year 1): 54,637 Health Insurance (MSN Year 1): $3,422 MSN (Year 2): 53,162 Health Insurance (MSN Year 2): $3,422 That is already 193k (Direct / fixed costs only) NOT including the indirect/variable costs for Room, Board, or Transportation NOR any other monthly expenses you can reasonably expect to pay such as cell phone bill, car insurance, leisure, conference fees, etc. for the entire 3 years. I would guestimate you are looking at closer to ~275k or so of TOTAL student loan debt as the sticker price. You can deduct scholarships you may have received (or expect to receive) any financial support you might get from family or friends from this 300k debt, and any income you might generate during the 3 years while working part-time. Realistically, without financial assistance from family/friends/scholarships, one would likely be in 275k debt. Given NP salaries are roughly half of that in most places, whether going into this much debt is "worth it" is really up to the individual to decide and the value they place on becoming an NP.

Admitted today to FNP (for the GEPN program), received 30k total in scholarships across the 3 year program (combo of merit, need based). Applied the day prior to the priority deadline. For those interested in knowing / still waiting to hear back: my stats: overall GPA: 3.62, overall science GPA: 3.75, prerequisite GPA 4.00 (no outstanding prereqs), 2000 hours (1 year) of direct patient care hours as a clinic coordinator/medical assistant, 4 years full-time of healthcare research.
