Hello, I am a BSN student now and a Nurse Corps Scholarship Award recipient. I am looking to pursue CRNA in the future after fulfilling the requirements of critical/intensive care and my scholarship obligation. I was wondering if you re-applied for and received the Nurse Corps Scholarship for your CRNA Education. I've read that once you have been a recipient before, it's highly likely to get chosen again for further studies like obtaining DNP, etc..

Yes, if a finalist doesn't accept their COI in time (or they decline), they could select someone else.

If you signed it and then said that, it could mean that the Secretary is in the process of signing their part. Happened to me and was awarded.

No, I did not. I had seen that link for the forms in the previous screenshot, but I did not. I mostly described my disadvantaged background in my essay; child of The Killing Fields refugees, growing up in underserved community, homelessness twice, first generation, etc...

Good morning! Your Target collections shouldn't affect you. I have collections for Comcast and some appliances that I never even had (identity theft that I'm still fighting) and I was still awarded. Best of luck!

I submitted my application the day before it closed, received a credit check in August, got my COI on Sept 4, and received award email last week on Sept 20. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more COI/awards going out maybe the end of this week.

Hi there. If it helps, I have never been a recipient, no healthcare background, but I have a negative SAI and from disadvantaged background such as growing up in an underserved community and first generation. I was awarded last week. I pray the rest of you hear some positive news soon.

I think we can get a more direct answer once we're assigned an analyst, or perhaps submitting the question through the participant portal. I still have to pay $1200 out of pocket in the next couple of days and I'd like to get it back.

I'd like to know as well. I used Pell, subsidized and unsubsidized loans to pay for school. I wonder if they will refund the Pell or only the loans.

I received my award notification via email today at 3:06 PM Central. I will be praying for the rest of you who are still waiting. Don't lose hope; there's still some time left.

You don't have to go in person, but going in person may be the quickest. I emailed my school the form (registrar's office), they printed it, filled it out, stamped it, and emailed it back to me and I uploaded it. Hope that helps!

Can be rejected due to enrollment status, such as not being full-time, or just them saying they ran out of funding.

Yes, they are having issues; it scared me. I received the COI and accepted it on Monday. Prior to me accepting it (I was waiting for my school to send back my Enrollment Verification Form), the portal was down. I called customer service and made them aware of the problem since I only had a few hours left to accept the COI, and they told me the website would be back up in 30-45 mins. I was then able to go in and submit my documents to submit. I had been in Final Review up until midday yesterday, my application got kicked back to Under Review. Now, I've read about this issue that previous finalists had in this forum, and some of them ended up not being awarded. I panicked and called customer care and they told me it was strange because my contract was not rescinded, so they escalated my case and told me to wait 3 to 5 business days for an update. At this point, I was really starting to lose hope, BUT...they resent my COI today and I just wanted to make you all aware that they are having lots of technical difficulties.

Update: I received another COI email a short while ago since the first one I accepted glitched.

I actually called the agency to bring it to their attention. The rep said on her end, I am still a finalist and it shows that my COI was accepted and my contract has not been rescinded--unsure of why it switched to Under Review. She got her supervisor on the line and the supervisor said the same thing; my contract was not rescinded and it's likely a technical error but that my case would be escalated. I hope this ends well. Now my nerves are worked up again.

My status has changed from Accepted Award, Under Final Review -> In Final Review -> Under Review. I'm starting to feel like I didn't get selected as a Recipient.

Unfortunately at my school, the registrar's office works only during regular business hours, but the Dean did assure me I'll receive it early Monday morning. I really hope so LOL. Yes, I received my credit check prior to the COI.

Not a problem! I'm still waiting for my school to send mine back. They said I'll get it before the deadline (Monday night). Stressing me out LOL
