  1. Hello, Has anyone transferred to another DNP school in the middle of the program? I have started my first year in FNP program mid this year. My partner is likely to get a great job offer that requires relocation to New York which is far from where we are at, but I am not sure if I can transfer to any school after looking at all the requirements/draining application process. Considering the popularity and competitiveness of DNP programs in New York, I am feeling very hopeless that one of us may have to give up on our dreams. We were just talking about getting married recently... My BSN grade is less than 3.5/4, and I currently have no one good that can give me recommendations because I don't work at a hospital setting/not close with any MD or NP. I graduated ADN/BSN a few years ago so I am not in touch with my professors either. I did great in my ADN with almost 4.0 but I didn't try hard for RN-BSN because there was a lot going on at the time. Is there any school you'd recommend in New York or great trustworthy online/hybrid program? Please share advice or experiences regarding transfer or reapplying to DNP that may help me, THANK YOU!
  2. I am a new grad nurse hoping to apply for DNP- Family nurse next year. Should I work the one year that I can gain experience in either 1) the primary care outpatient clinic where I also want to work after I graduate FNP program OR 2) a cardiology unit in a large hospital with acute care experience. My goal and focus is primary care but I am also scared that having no hospital experience will look bad on my application even though I'm applying for primary care. I really appreciate your thoughts and advice.
  3. Congratulations! Did you end up accepting SU or other colleges?
  4. @Jaylin Jones I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you're taking good rest, it's been very tough and stressful months of preparation and waiting.
  5. I heard back just now and I'm waitlisted for RN-DNP FNP track. Not happy as this is the only school I applied for but I'm also hoping for the best.
  6. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone heard back with any app result? I saw posts from 2020-2023 all had status update the Saturday after the last interview day, and I've been so nervous I can't sleep!
