  1. Foley Catheter Use After Kidney Transplant

    I had recently been floated to a renal clinic and was working on a prior-authorization submission that has stuck in my head. I noticed a patient, whom has had a history of a kidney transplant, receives 30 indwelling foley catheters with the catheter insertion kits, as well as 60 intermittent catheters EVERY month. I found this to be somewhat strange, but am curious as to reasoning why?
