  1. I was in med school(3 ½ yrs originally for physical therapy but I switched majors to psychology)but things happened (severe over medication for health issues I had since birth-lost my insurance and realized I was full on addicted) ultimately I ended up dropping out and a few bad decisions led straight to drug court(well it was a zigzag, hop and run around to get there but you get the point)Unfortunately I ran from that and went to jail. After realizing that jail doesn't equate to treatment,I enrolled myself in a long term program which had a internal MAOTP(methadone assisted opiate treatment program) just wondering are you in the medical field or were you born being sarcastic. I have taken more drug tests than any human needs to. I have had a ton of experience (being sober over 8 years) with false positives due to medication, supplement and lab error. Do you realize that people loose their children, jobs, freedom etc. due to compromised/incomplete/inaccurate drug screens? I have no quarrel admitting my past indiscretions, but I will not back down now when it comes to my character, experience, education and morals. Why don't I back down now you ask,Because I don't need to. There is nothing worse than a false positive.you know if you have done something that is listed on a drug test. There is a stigma attached to the test. Even with my years sober and work I have done in the community back in 2019 I fell on a glass gazing ball and almost cut my arm off. All the muscles, tendons, nerve, veins and arteries were severed and shredded. That's how I truly became disabled. Nevermind the fact that I was born with severe hip displasia and now have painful arthritis, leaving me almost immobile (the reason I fell on the first place) I don't know why it would matter if I was in the medical field or chronic patron of it,I am qualified to give options, opinions and experiences. Anyway, beat wishes with your test. Just know that despite the lab techs and cup manufacturers not wanting to admit it, their product/results are NOT 100% accurate.
  2. So your numbers were higher? I would start there as it went somewhere.. Review your employment handbook as you don't want to do anything and it be a waste of your time/money as you stated you already sent your resignation. Sounds like maybe you should start looking for alternate employment opportunities. Even if you did the outside testing would you want to work there IF they would let you back? You would be looked at suspiciously for a long time if not forever.. I wouldn't want to work somewhere where someone was stealing and I was being held accountable for it.. also the theif/company has had no repercussions since finding their scapegoat (YOU) so now I imagine it has emboldened them because they got away w/it. Subsequently,it will happen again, and when it does they would come to you--who knows next time they may bring criminal charges as well. which is worse- leaving a job off your resume/being fired AND/OR going to jail?! I'm not being dramatic I just want you to think Abt it...so in short I would not take the chance to lose my freedom for this job. You have already quit AND been accused of medication theft so I wouldn't,wait, no I COULDN'T take that chance...I hope that helps give you another perspective on your situation,I know it's a tough spot as Im sure you want vindication but sometimes the risk outweighs the reward.. I would leave, not unscathed but not broken either!! Good luck!
  3. I have been on the MAOTP for 8+years... During those 8years I have not done illegal drugs, yet have had MANY positives-as I will get into. The first one was for AMP. Ieven in my using says I had done it,but it was by no means my drug of choice and I would not spend my money on it. After being reprimanded(and put back on step 1) I was jaded. The second time I tested positive for the same(AMP) it was sent to a lab(at my cost) and it did not show in the lab test. I guess it was my Zoloft throwing the false positive (as I'm told) and I was moved back to step 3(less restrictions). The 3rd time it said I was positive for THC. I don't smoke pot or use any cannabis products. Again after secondary tests it was found to be from bread or something stupid..one to #4 PCP.. now this one was crazy. They gave me the 12 panel cup test and it showed PCP,and in the nurses words "it was dark and immediate" I guess meaning it was of a high concentration. I have done many drugs in my life but I have never,NEVER saw or done PCP. After speaking to the director and having a showdown I told her "wasn't they guy in the news that ate that woman's neck and chest on PCP,so you think I am in here, trying to get a dose of methadone high on PCP and NOT EATING FACES?" Needless to say she dropped it after I put up such a stink about it. And now the last one. I tested positive for the breakdowns of what could be 2things-diluadid or codeine cough syrup.. now with this one it did not show on the cup at all but showed extremely high when sent out. How could that be? Anyway I was offered to pay for a hair test(380-550$) to prove myself and unfortunately I don't have it. I am disabled, husband is between jobs as his contract ren out, Christmas just passed and he was hit in my truck. So what am I supposed to do? I have no issues admitting when I am wrong. That's one of many things I had to learn when getting sober(the consequences of lying are often more detrimental than dealing with the issue head on, amongst other things) as I would only be hurting myself to lie. I worked very hard to get where I am, now I should just be "coasting on auto pilot" instead I am constantly worrying and anxious better yet, just outright scared. I am angry about these as they affect my life, relationships, character and how others perceive me. Thankfully this time my freedom isn't at stake as it has been before-and even then it was crap. I had went into detox, got out, went to court and was ordered to come back weekly for testing/drugcourt. While in detox I was given Suboxone for a few days then switched to Subutex for almost 3 weeks... My 3rd week off Subutex I was still dropping dirty for the subtext, and trust me I was not out looking to buy Subutex (nor had I ever seen anyone looking for it) as I was on methadone by that point. Didn't Matter as I was told that even with my extremely low levels,I Must have done it during the time after detox... seriously...there are a few other instances where drug tests have failed me...during the last 12-13 years I know for a fact I have taken at (a minimum) 550tests,some 7panel up to 12-some in a cup(forgot the main manufacturer they use) and some sent to companies such as "LabCorp, complete lab and drug test,Quest diagnostics" and I'm sure some others but those are the main ones that FCMC and my rehab center uses in Columbus. The only thing I can recommend (as I have been disenchanted, bitter and jaded by the system) is to call around and see if your insurance may be able to order a hair follicle test with no out-of-pocket cost and if that doesn't work maybe see if you can get a doctor to order one as you will have a prescription for it-so no $... You can also see if you have a local "alcohol and mental health" service in your city. Here we have the ADAMH association which offers alcohol, addiction and mental health service to folks in the county. Weather this is for a job, court, addiction service or whatever -it comes down to you knowing the truth and not accepting it. See if there's a place like the one I described and if u cannot find anything call 211 and ask for free addiction/mental health service. They can do a more in-depth testing for like90days,so get on it!! These are my personal experiences. Tho there are many bad if you think Abt it 5 out of close to 600isnt bad I guess...there are things that I know for a fact cause false positives (Zoloft, Sudafed, Wellbutrin, Vyvanse and an antibiotic-cant remember the name) and some that I think could as I was taking them in combo when I was sick (Benadryl, Mucinex, Sudafed, Robitussin) so I feel your pain in not being believed BUT YOU MUST ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WILL...best of luck and I hope that my experiences bring you comfort knowing if nothing else your not alone and hopefully you can get someone to rally for you!! Prayers to you and your not alone...there's people who's lives have been ruined by these inaccuracies, but there's others who's lives have been saved as well...
