  1. It's part of your tuition. All the books you need are online. If you want the physical copies that would cost extra and I'm not sure how much that would be.
  2. I haven't taken med surg 2, but med surg I covers many disease processes and the impact it has on the body systems rather than just the body systems if that makes sense
  3. Last year when I was going into the first semester we didn't get the sign up link until second week of August. I'm not sure if it will be the same for your cohort
  4. Hey, clinical for Fundamentals is once a week. You get to choose; they send over a sign-up link and they give you 24 hrs to view it so you can decide what you want. You need to be on sign-up link at the exact time it opens because the slots go by very fast and sometimes people are not able to get what they want because it gets filled up so fast.
  5. So for fall 2024, during orientation, they mentioned that they received more applications than usual so unfortunately for me, they had A LOT of students waitlisted. They told us that previous semesters, almost all the students on their waitlist got a spot before the semester started but for fall 2024, they didn't think that was going to be possible. I never got a call back and they ended up sending me an email asking if I wanted to forward my application for Spring 2025. I ended up just forwarding my application and later got accepted into Spring 2025 (I'm not in AACC's nursing program now, I ended up attending another nursing program). IDK how it is with the fall 2025 cohort and if they received a lot of applications. I also didn't take any prerequisites at AACC, so my application wasn't as strong as other students so I think that also played a part (I think LOL).
  6. Hi, I used Nursehub's HESI A2 study program. I was able to find a discount code and got it for cheap. Also this quizlet: https://quizlet.com/680471316/HESI-A2-anatomy-physiology-v1v2-flash-cards/ has word by word questions from the A&P portion of the exam. Those are really the only 2 things I used to study. I would suggest taking a lot of practice questions. Also at least for me, the math portion had a lot of conversions and fractions so I would also make sure you know how to add, multiply, subtract, etc., fractions
  7. Hi! When you did the drug screen requirement, did your results get posted to castle branch or did you have to call somewhere to get your results?
  8. When you ordered the castle branch for the classification did you choose N142? I'm not sure if it's N142 or N142x? Do you know which one is for the traditional nursing program? I was thinking N142x is for accelerated but I didn't want to click the wrong one
  9. Have you done anything from the castle branch requirements yet?
  10. Yeah, I did see that they give like a timeframe for labs and clinical, but I just wanted like a more precise schedule because I feel like the program starts in two months and I still don't really know much about it. I don't know the faculty, I don't know how labs are set up or how clinical is set up and stuff. I feel like I don't really know what to expect and I haven't really heard anything from anyone.
  11. Hey! I've been accepted into fall 2024 and I've also been looking for current or previous nursing students to share their schedule. No luck so far ?
  12. I'm not sure if you will get your results at a different time but for the traditional RN program we got notified today
  13. OK thank you! Let me know what they say if you happen to remember to update. When I went to the information session the instructor said the last cohort almost all students got off the waitlisted except 1... so there's hope! Still super bummed
  14. Yeah I saw I was just curious if they have accepted students a deadline for that. Do you know if we will need to attend the "RN bootcamp" on the 13th.
  15. The email says waitlist applicants are still required to attend orientation. It says we can get a call any day for acceptance if a seat opens up. Does your email mention when your health forms (CPR, vaccines) are due?
  16. I wanted to go Wednesday but couldn't make it ? yeah please let me know how orientation goes! Maybe we can check in Monday or Tuesday to see if we got accepted? ????
  17. I haven't taken any classes either at AACC and that's what worries me so much! I could be 3 points higher in their selection process ? I hope we all get in! Do you guys choose Wednesday or Friday orientation?
  18. I agree, I keep checking my email every few hours even though I know it won't be this week. I applied to two other schools but I really had my hopes set on AACC. I believe AACC accepts around 170-180 nursing students per term so that gives us a good chance! Are you a AACC student?
  19. I also believe Monday! Maybe Tuesday by latest. I don't think it would make sense to have us attend orientation if we aren't officially accepted ?
  20. Hi!! Yes I have a lot of questions! Do you mind if I send you a message on here?
  21. Oh they do look at the entire application? They didn't mention that when I went to the information session. That's good to know that makes me feel a bit better haha. Have you seen where the nursing students take classes at and the lab classrooms? I wanted to tour the building but haven't had a chance to yet. I read they have really good facilities. I hope we get in as well!
  22. That's cool! How long have you been in Maryland? I haven't taken any courses at AACC so I'm a bit nervous since they give 1-3 extra points depending on how many prerequisites are taken at AACC. I did register! Did you attend an information session? I believe that is also necessary for the nursing application
