I'd put a call in to your recruiter or the HR person who sent you the onboarding info. They gave the impression that the whole Summer residency is cancelled and that they are not planning on hiring for fall when I asked

She didn't give specific reasoning, just that due to the hiring freeze they were cancelling all onboarding activity. The hospital in Austin lost 3 times more money than they projected it would, so that with the medicaid situation is probably why. Last I heard the Austin hospital only had 4 patients total. I asked about the PICU residency for Fall and she said there wouldn't be one.

Pretty sure they rescinded offers for the whole Summer cohort. Any ideas what you're going to do? I'm at a loss, and she said they wouldn't be hiring in the fall either.

I'm an external applicant with a referral, I don't know about calls but she did say they had already decided who was going to be offered positions
