  1. That is doing too much on their part. I tried getting into 8wk class Gen Chem at Lone Star College, for the 4th session which started last week, but the official record day was on Monday and was unable to because that's the day I got in and found out abt the missing chem.
  2. It's the way they deleted the PDF from their pre-req page ?! But same, I am hoping to get situated and organized at UTH and then deal with Gen Chem on top just for a month. I called the day I got accepted and the person in the office told me they never changed the chem requirement and that it has always been Gen Chem as the requirement; I felt gaslit bcs the PDF was right there.... saying "Chem 1405 or Chem 1411"
  3. OMG I know I was not going crazy either... They had a PDF that showed that Intro to Chem was able to fulfill the chem requirement and now suddenly want Gen Chem !!
  4. I had an odd case where I initiated my application in mid December, but not fully finished because of technical problems with the HESI exam. I then asked for my application to be moved to the Fall 24 Term and it got transferred around Jan 20th. Later, I was then told about how HESI is not required for Summer 24 so then it was switched back and fully submitted in Feb 6-7th. I submitted no HESI score and my Overall GPA was a 3.86 and Science GPA was a 3.75
  5. The timing is just so odd and feels last minute because registration for classes opens on the 10th of April and I assume that onboarding process is not that quick. For sure a representative told me that April 15 was their deadline to give an answer. Also I cant even get in contact w the admission office ? !!
  6. To those waiting, does your statuses still say 'Application Received'? Someone said theirs said 'Application Under Review' and then changed to 'Received'
  7. Nah, I think they're finally gonna start looking at apps that did not submit a HESI score, since the deadline was last Friday
  8. I was told that if you applied before the extension was issued you'll get notified sooner than those that applied after the original deadline (Jan 15) !! I am assuming Mid March we'll know? I would hope so at least
  9. Okay I just made one! I sent out invites and there should be a forum in the club that you can comment on..
  10. Thanks! I'm gonna try making one (since I have 15 posts) so we can communicate easily. I'll let yall know
  11. YAY SAME! Y'all were not kidding about the $500 deposit in 7 days omgggggg ? ! Bittersweet...... LOL
  12. So I called the other day and someone from the school mentioned something about February 19th being the new deadline?? I am unsure though bcs that didn't make sense to me since I saw that the website saying March 15th (and so do the social media posts). I hope we receive a decision before 4/15 because I need to figure out my living situation?
  13. Hi! I have not seen a discussion forum going on for this term, so I decided to create one! Does anyone know when we might get an admission offer? I saw they extended the deadline.
  14. I just called the Office of Admissions about the paypal thing and they said that the email is NOT from them ?!! It looks so legit too..
  15. According to their website, for ABSN 2023-2024: Around 20k ($18,794) for direct costs (includes tuition, fees, and books). https://students.uthscsa.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/210/2023/09/2023-24-Accelerated-NSU.pdf Seems that total cost of attendance is dependent on personal factors. Also, they for sure need to update so much! I think it is only 1 round of interviews (which we've done.) I saw forums of past years talking about questions from the interviews and they were the same format as the ones we did.
  16. What did the email look like? I received one about a personalized URL (PURL) that had me inserting my information, which then led me to a check list and questions. One of FAQ was "When will I receive a decision," followed with: Depending on the volume of applications received, the initial review could take a minimum of 4-6 weeks. After these evaluations are completed, competitive applicants are invited to participate in the next round, which includes an online interview and a writing sample. Typically, it takes a minimum of 3 weeks to evaluate this information. We aim to release all final admissions decisions 8-10 weeks after the deadline. I didn't pay much attention to it because I assumed that this term was going to be different due to the imbedded interview questions we had to complete in order to submit the Nursing application on NursingCAS. Also, did you guys get emailed payment instructions from UTHSCSA on adding the $45 payment order number from PayPal onto the application? "Copy the Order ID provided in the PayPal email and paste it into your NursingCAS application under the second question titled 'School of Nursing Application Fee.'" I was like I didn't even pay through PayPal?... I paid through their website. Also I didn't see anywhere to add anything. That would be wild if this is how they ensured we paid those $45 omggg.... (I received that email on Jan 11 just now noticing it)
  17. Yeah I was wondering if we could change the title to 'ABSN' bcs it took a while for me to find this, but it should be fine haha. Late Jan / Early Feb is crazy fast if that's the case! I do wonder how many people applied to this program. Also I had no clue about the 1-week action to decide?!
