Hi. I would say Bridge vs community college is just personal preference. You can find the Bridge curriculum online. You would have more flexibility at a community college to complete them at your own pace and the classes would be more affordable, however you have to read the requirements carefully and make sure you are taking the right courses (for example labs must be in person). Also Bridge starts only once a year but you can start your prerequisites elsewhere at any time. Online it says the deadline closed February 1 for 2025. Good luck!

End of May start is the ABSN portion only (it runs Summer/ Fall/ Spring/ Summer). I believe the Bridge program starts in the Fall, but I'm not 100% sure. I only had to take one last pre-requisite at Ramapo. Fall semester starts at th3 end of August.

I submit to FAFSA and I'm supplementing with federal student loans. I'm not clear if that applies to all. Like is there a lifetime limit since a lot of us have a first bachelors? I already have a bachelor's degree and I qualified to recieve unsubsidized federal loans.

Those of us starting this May had an information session with current students and they felt the program was very manageable if you are organized and stay on top of studying. I'm optimistic about it! ?

Hi, I applied directly to ABSN and was hoping they would accept my 2 chemistry classes even though they didn't perfectly match the requirement. The program was new at the time. They accepted me conditionally pending successful completion of 1 chemistry class with the BRIDGE program. I took all other prerequisites at Bergen Community College. My lowest prerequisites was a B. My first bachelor's GPA was low but from a tough school (did not include any prerequisites). I'd say apply even if you're on the fence. Good luck!

Hi! For those of you that started the 16 month ABSN in May 2024, has the tuition been billed approximately the same for each semester so far (understanding fees will vary)? I'm assuming that's the case because each semester has the same amount of credits planned. Thank you!

I did not start the process to get an ID but I just got a couple emails from the nursing department. Read till the end. "In order to get your Ramapo student ID, you must email Public Safety ([email protected]) to schedule an appointment. In this email, please include your Ramapo ID number which can be found on your acceptance letter and looks like "R00XXXXXX". At this appointment, you would take your ID picture and possibly receive your ID that day. Their office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30am until 4:00pm." "UPDATE: I've been notified that commuting students have to wait until Sep 1st (or after) to take ID photos. Making appointments are NOT necessary. Please disregard my previous email."

Thanks. I didn't get an email from the school yet. I created an account directly with the bookstore but they are showing nothing assigned for my class. I'll follow up if I don't hear anything soon. My first class isn't till 9/9 since we meet M/Tu. It's kinda good what you still have to take is A&P. I'm afraid I won't remember it as well by May '25 ?

I took the TEAS for the application. I got my parking permit too. Still need to figure out ID. Were you able to find textbook info? The library has nothing for my class yet (just generic lab stuff so far.)

Congratulations!! I got in today too woohoo! Is anyone who got in still waiting on the financial aid info? My portal says FAFSA pending but the FAFSA website say it's been processed. I sent the financial aid office an email on this today.

Hi! Can any current students help advise about how many days you are on campus per week? I understand it varies. I've heard 1-3 days, but I'm trying to understand how common is 3 or possibly more days? The school is giving me vague answers. I'm 75 miles away so it's a deciding factor for me. Also have the clinicals been near campus or are they spread out over New Jersey? Thank you!

Has anyone heard if clinicals will be 8 hours or 12 hours? Most other schools said 8, but I don't know about Ramapo. TESU is the only nearby school that said 12. Thx!

Congratulations! I was also accepted for 2025 because my chemistry credits aren't equivalent. You should follow up with them regarding Portage. I offered to take a virtual chem class now to start early but they said it had to be in person. Good luck!

Once they received my official transcripts, they complete an academic evaluation and sent me access to their portal to see what prerequisites are done/outstanding. This was a couple weeks ago and this system had not caught up with the latest requirements. With the evaluation comes links to make an appointment with an advisor. I had a meeting and they confirmed for me with a BS already, that I don't need intro psych, intro soc, ethics, or the TEAS. I'm applying for Fall admission. I got accepted to Ramapo's ABSN but for the next cohort Summer 2025 (I have to take another chemistry class bc I only have Gen Chem I). I'm not sure yet if I get into TESU for Fall, if I should go there or wait for Ramapo. Distance is a factor. TESU is fairly far for me to commute, but possible. Any thoughts what you guys would do in a similar situation? Feel free to DM me if you prefer. Thx!!

I asked with no response. My undergrad GPA is low. I was hoping my personal experience, work history, and 3.9 prerequisite GPA would overcome that. I'm assuming it's my undergrad. I'm also assuming Ramapo is more competitive than Rutgers because the class size is smaller and it's cheaper. Although Ramapo doesn't have the long history and reputation that Rutgers has with ABSN to draw applications, but Ramapo was advertising big time. I'm constantly working on back-ups but I have that low GPA to contend with. Good luck all!

Ahhh! Thank you! I didn't think to open it since there was a status there and Ramapo confirmed by email that my application was complete. I'm "under review". Note I was under review with Rutgers for 5 long weeks before they declined, even with an application extension ?
