My thing is, if you go to the board and for whatever reason they decide to not license you.... They will open a complaint against you and IDK how that complaint can affect future jobs.

Waiting to see if anyone went to the board too and what was their outcome. from previous comments, best bet is to just test in a nearby state. Then wait out the 5 yrs

Yes, you'll get an email saying you withdrew. You will have to call Pearsonvue and pay $50 to change the state. Then you follow the directions of whatever state you're applying in. Wish the best for you as well!

Ri is a compact state. Look up which states are compact. You can work in all those states without having to change your state license. For MA, yes, you'd have to wait it out until the 5 yrs are up.

If you're in the same situation as me. The advice I can give you is to withdraw and apply to another state.

This is what I got yall. APPLY in a different state ladies! Then transfer. They made me wait 6 months for something that could've been done in a week. My DCF case happened while I was in nursing school. SMH. Going to RI. " The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (Board) has received your application for licensure as well as supporting documentation related to the Good Moral Character (GMC) requirement for initial licensure pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 112, section 74. The Board regrets to inform you that you are not eligible for a review at this time. This is due to the case with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) Although all applicants have the right to present their case to the Board, I must make the following bullets very clear: • You are not eligible for Licensure by Examination due to the fact that the DCF cases for Physical Abuse have not been closed for 5 years. • If you decide to have your case presented before the Board, and they deny the license, a compliant will be issued. • You may voluntarily withdraw your application, without a complaint being issued.

I graduated in May and still waiting for an ATT. This experience has been so traumatizing and has put me back in a severe depression. I hate it here yall. I'm back on food stamps and have no money to my name. I'm embarrassed and ashamed. Everything I learned is gone it seems…… I'm trying to pray but it's been hard. Happy New year I guess ?
