So financial aid said that grad students can only be offered unsubsidized loans up to $20,500 per academic year. Other than that, you can apply for other types of grants, scholarships, or a grad plus loan (on the financial aid website). They said basically you'll get a letter with any possible award after you accept admission, and then you can accept/ decline your aid award, then apply for other aid as needed. The grad plus loan is based on creditworthiness but can cover up to the cost of attendance (tuition plus living expenses). I've also read about graduate assistantships and applied for some. They waive up to 9 credits per semester of tution cost if you work for 20 hours a week, plus you'll get a stipend (up to 17,000 per academic year, paid biweekly). Has anyone in the program thus far done a GAship? If so can you share any details!! Thanks!

How does the financial aid work for this program? Tried to ask during info session and they pointed me to financial aid. I'll call them tomorrow but thought I'd ask the people with firsthand experience. So, how exactly does it work when it's a graduate one year program? I remember in undergrad, they would give you an award amount for the year and disperse half of it each semester. Do they also do the same thing in a graduate program where they tell you an award amount for the year and then disperse it three times a year? How early before the semester starts do they tell you what your bill is? When do they disburse funds, etc.? I have already submitted my FAFSA as well. If anyone can also talk about their experience taking loans, not only for the cost of tuition, but for the cost of attendance, that would be super helpful too. Any info really would be super helpful. Not too much out there for grad student financial aid info. Thank you!

Hi All! ? I was wondering, for those who have been through the application process, about how long before the term start date did you hear back regarding an admissions decision? I applied mid-October for the Nov 1st deadline (admission Spring '24) and haven't heard a peep. Just wondering how close they cut it to the term start date to give you a decision and get your things in order! Thanks a bunch!! ☺️
