  1. It most definitely is required. You need a positive test. I've had all Hep B shots as a kid, got a titer test the day the nursing application opened, my test came back like a week later and it was negative immunity with 3.5 as my quantity, got 1 single booster shot out of the 3 dose series, retested again in December and my number was 1000+. The nurse that gave it to me said she had the same issue when going into nursing school and she spoke with a Hep B specialist that told her Hep B's immunity can be asleep and the booster shot should trigger it and be well within range if you had to test again. I talked to Cindy before my titer in Dec was back and she said if you don't have the hep b done, you can still start the program but need to be on top of getting it all done asap and to make sure you're communicating with the ADN email. Karla is very very strict with the deadlines. Be proactive. (when I got my first titer in Aug with it being negative, I didn't turn that in or show that result at all. I waited till my second titer showed immunity. I didn't complete the entire 2 or 3 dose series. 1/3 got me more than where I needed to be and they've accepted my titer test info already. I showed my records from the 3 shots as a kid and then the booster shot and the titer in Dec and I was fine)
  2. I was #18 on the list, Karla just emailed me last night that a spot was available!
  3. No, they definitely won't have all the selections from the alternate list by Monday. There's a few other factors that are going into who's even getting accepted from the alternate list other than just your rank on the list.. they'll have the first selections from the alternate list before 5pm tomorrow, but that won't be the only round.
  4. she said the same thing to me when I submitted it but told me that wasn't Blinn's calculation, that was her own. I'd email her or ADN to double check
  5. Did you ask them your legitimate calculated points?
  6. From what I've read in other blinn ADN threads on here, is that they have about 20 on the alternate list and can accept anywhere from 5-20 but I think 20 was a rare occurrence. I'm not sure where I am on the waitlist and it's a little bit harder to tell kinda who's in front of me and stuff because people are posting their own calculated score vs the legitimate score from Blinn. I've been trying to contact Kate about it haha.
  7. hmm.. I wonder what their system is for doing this then.. I wouldn't think that means I'm going to be pulled from the alternate list especially when it's not even 11/10 yet... Only obvious reason that I got it was because I'm on the waitlist period. By the way, did you take Patho? I saw you said you had 31 points so I'm curious how you broke down your score?
  8. I got an email for the fingerprinting saying I've been pre-enrolled for fingerprint-based background check at IdentoGo and all that. Did everyone on the alternate/accepted list get that as well? Just making sure I'm not being delusional and think it means more than what it is. I'd assume everyone on the alternate/accepted got it or will get it very soon.
  9. Can ppl please post once they start getting pulled and noting their points and what their position was!? If you email, Kate, she'll tell you your legitimate calculated score. Mine was 28.8 and I'm an alternate
