  1. I did not get any scholarships! I also didn't review patho or pharm beforehand since I was taking my prerequisites. They give you plenty of context when you start, although it is fast paced. Once you enroll there's an orientation online and in person and they can give you more information on both courses as well as other materials!
  2. I did not! The first semester was definitely packed but people say taking it in person prepares you well for the other classes and also the following semesters are definitely easier in comparison.
  3. I ended up going to Mt Sinai! I would have had to retake chemistry at NYU since I didn't take it in person. I don't think you can go wrong with either, I love Mt. Sinai
  4. Hi all - I have a couple questions on the cost for the program as I'm a little confused on what to expect. For context I was admitted to the second degree program, as I need to take chemistry in person during the first semester as I already took it but online. Does anyone know what the total cost of the ABSN program (following the first semester) is with the nursing scholarship (assuming this is for one semester)? In the portal it says the total direct costs for 1 year are $42,270, but I'm thinking this is only for a segment of the time. I've also emailed the office so will lyk what I hear!
  5. I submitted early and haven't heard anything
  6. Same...I emailed admissions to see if they have any other information! I would rather know either way
  7. Anyone's interface change at all? Feel like they might release decisions today?
  8. Anyone know if there is a FB group for this yet?
  9. has anyone's portal changed today (missing prereqs, checklist disappeared, etc.)?
  10. Do you mind showing what you're seeing? I'm so confused about how to interpret mine
  11. What change did you see?? I'm getting so anxious haha
  12. Hi all - I've seen similar posts on this but none in the last 3-5 years (most are during COVID which doesn't seem as relevant now). I'm currently trying to decide which path to follow related to my ABSN in Spring 2024, and am curious about the sentiment related to both NYU and Mt. Sinai. I know NYU is much more expensive, but I've seen that this can be offset via scholarships and financial aid initially, but often starting during the second semester. I've also seen some controversial posts related to Mt. Sinai as a school and their ability to retain professors, but this was also a few years ago. Has anyone completed either of these programs? Are they both extremely difficult, or does one stand out as being more challenging? Was anyone deciding between either of these programs, and which did you end up picking? Following graduation, did attendees of either school migrate to work at the hospital related to either school? What is the sentiment of these hospitals? Thank you so much in advance for your help - feeling very lost as since I'm coming from a totally different field, I don't know many nurses!
  13. I am waiting on acceptances from other programs but sent my deposit! I'm worried because the orientation is Nov 10 and it seems like they're really pushing for people to submit all their forms ASAP. It's such a great school and I will probably go but I still don't know how to approach the timeline!
  14. Hi all - has anyone gotten any news since Monday on this? I also applied before September 15th and am excited about the possibility of NYU. Problem is I also got accepted to Mt. Sinai and they are moving quickly with requiring deposit/forms/etc. - orientation is literally on November 10th. I tried to call NYU admissions and also emailed, but they said my application is in review. Anyone else in this pickle? I also have this problem so applied to the "non-accelerated" program, but I have chem online so I wonder if they ever give exceptions
