  1. Suzan, Thanks so much for your and everyone else's words of encouragement. I've been so up & down since it happened......and I keep thinking back to your post that maybe I do need to re-visit some areas before I continue my journey. My hats off to you regarding the situation with your father. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother very suddenly in August before I started. She had a brain aneurysm, and like your father, I had to make a decision for her life. We turned the machines off and she passed away a month before I started classes. It was the toughest month of my life, and don't think I would have been able to do it during nursing school. My heart goes out to you. My appt is 1st thing Mon morning. I have re-visited all my notes from this semester and will go in standing tall. I will fight with every bit of energy I have in me to prove myself, and if she doesn't give me the benefit of the doubt, then, hey, I tried my best. I took a full load (Nursing, pharm, and a pre-req I should have taken earlier) this semester so I don't know if she'll have any sympathy for me. Wish me luck and I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks again for all your replies....what a wondeful support system this is!
  2. Thanks to all who replied..... We need to score a 76....I scored a 75. And no, it wasn't just ONE question.....it was a total of 26 questions I missed. I will fight this with every bit of energy I have left this semester to pass. I've proved myself everywhere else and never missed clinical, lab, class, etc. I'm hoping that will help. If not, I'll stand tall and return next semester.
  3. I'm at a loss for words. A's in clinical, A's in lab, A's on dosage. We had our 500 point exam last week and when I picked up my grade today...BAM! I failed by ONE question. I've already made an appt with my instructor to review the exam, make sure I didn't make any mistakes on the scantron, etc, etc. Our program is very strict-no curves, no extra points, etc. I know of a student this happened to last semester and she failed. I'm really upset. All that hard work-clinicals, care plans, etc etc down the drain. How could I have done so poorly? I did study, and yes, it was a bear of an exam. Most of the class barely passed. But they passed. How should I approach my instructor? Help! Anyone been in this situation before? Erika
