Hi everyone! I got accepted into LA Southwest today so I'll be giving up my spot. If you're an alternate, keep an eye out! This is wayyyy closer to home for me so I'll be going there instead. Congrats again to everyone!

I asked if it was acceptable to have an ebook or buy used and was told that it was the faculty's first time using the text and that it may be best to buy new in case we needed an access code. And here I was hoping to save some money, haha! Hopefully we get some more insight December 8th. These books are pretty expensive...

100% agree with you! If you expect to be spoon fed and have your hand held the entire way, you're going to struggle. I'll take your warning into consideration but it's not going to discourage or stop me from going forward with this program. It just is what it is. Their NCLEX scores speak for themselves, bad reviews are always louder than the positive ones anyway.

Well that's ominous. Do you have any examples or stories to share? I think every nursing program has it's bad side, it's never perfect.

I had to call the support number to have them manually remove my old booster so I could reupload my updated immunization record. Was not too bad to do but it did take like 20 minutes from being on hold.

I started doing my CB things as well. Uploaded my covid vaccines, Tdap, BLS, and flu (all in process). I think my background check has come back already. My physical wasn't until November 8 but I kept checking for sooner appointments and got one for next week, and I am getting my drug test done that same day as well. Maybe call and see if you can move it up or see a different provider? I also just drove to RH to drop off my social security card. Would anyone be open to joining a FB group so we can keep in touch through the process on there? I don't know if there are many of us but hopefully we get more as we get closer ?

I was looking at the class schedules from previous semesters and it looks like anywhere from 3-4 days a week, including both clinical and theory. I think they'll tell us more at orientation. Does anybody know when we might get an email for it?

I don't think they say how many they have. From what I have read, you still go through the classes and if anybody drops you get moved up.

Hi everyone! I got accepted as an alternate on Tuesday, then got moved up from the alternate list on Wednesday and was conditionally accepted to the program ? congrats to all those who got in! It's so competitive here, I didn't even hesitate to accept.
