Kind of off topic but curious, I lived in Houston and it's not really cheap to live here anymore and there's no seasons. Why is it that everyone wants a residency here? Is it just the Texas medical center, economy, or are residencies not available in other states? Or a combination of all?

That same thing happened to me when I interviewed as a pct at st. Luke's a few years ago. Very annoying. I hope it gets resolved for you.

So I'm not quite understanding this. The hospitals require a residency but do not supply enough new grad positions? What are we supposed to do with our new license?

Did you apply in TMC? I applied to cypress and heard back last week. I think the TMC gets more applications, hopefully you hear something soon.

Have you ever worked on the unit you are shadowing? Maybe they want to make sure the unit is a good fit for you?

Yes I did for the pre-interview. I believe I picked all three, I can't remember oops! LOL

Hello, I did applied to st. Luke's a few weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back. It didn't specify which location but I would want woodlands or vintage. Are most people applying to the med center? I know the pay is better but too far of drive for me.
