  1. The BSN program for nursing here doesn't require organic chem; however, I think the regular Chem class that is required here covers some organic topics. If you check on their website, you'll see the list of courses in their catalog that's required in your program of choice.
  2. @astrochld, CNA I think the school is good so far. I work part-time, so time management is crucial as there are deadlines to keep on top of. The workload on average can be time consuming, but it's doable and depends on the class/professor. Some classes are similar to CC's, but assignments are due earlier since this is an accelerated program (ie: every Wed and Sun). Figure out a consistent study routine according to your schedule and make it a priority. I have family obligations, so the remainder of my time is spent on studying and just going out once in awhile. Every student will have their own obligations; therefore, as long as you don't procrastinate and find how much time you need to succeed--you should be fine. Hope that helps and good luck!
  3. I feel the same way as I have family obligations and I'm probably going to sacrifice sleep. To help with time management, I suggest googling "block schedule template for nursing school and use a planner. I think when I see my confirmed class schedule at registration, then I'll have a better idea when I have open slots to study. Good luck!
  4. Hi! Congrats! I don't have facebook, but here's a link for the general WCU page: https://www.facebook.com/WestCoastUniversity.
  5. That's awesome you've got varied experience. I'd like to try a few areas and see what fits best for me. Thankfully acceptance went smoothly. I took Nutrition awhile back, but they said it's a core class so it had to be within one year to be eligible for transfer. I'm excited too! It'll all be worth it from what I hear from my nurse friends.
  6. Hi Heyday109! Congrats! :) That's awesome you've got LVN experience! Which type of unit do you work in? Would you like to do the same specialty as an RN? I'm doing the BSN track to nursing. I don't know about you, but I feel like January is approaching fast LOL. I've completed Anatomy, but have to do Physio at WCU. So thinking I should brush up on that subject since our program is accelerated. Are you transferring credits in too? Good luck and yah, see you at orientation!
  7. Hi there! I'm starting WCU Orange County in Jan 2024! I'm feeling so excited and nervous to start a new chapter in this nursing journey. The somewhat same jittery feeling I got when I was about to get married LOL. It would be great to connect with any future students. Anyone attending in the Spring term?
