  1. what unit were you going for? I had a recruiter call too, but at the end of the call she set me up with an interview with unit management for CICU (first choice). Not sure how other units do it though ?
  2. Hello all, I don't see a thread on this yet so I wanted to start one. I've heard of friends getting either rejections or phone screen emails today so I wanted to see if anyone was in the same boat. Good luck to everyone!
  3. Anyone asked for references after two interviews?
  4. I got into cardiac ICU for the March cohort. It took a month before I got contacted for an interview, then from interview to offer was 2 days. One interview with a manager and another senior nurse leader on the unit.
  5. I did hear back! I've got my second interview on Monday via Zoom with their leadership team ?
  6. what unit? this sounds like a good sign, congrats!
  7. In person at UCSF Mission Bay
  8. Not OP but also had CICU interview this week. They said people would hear back on Friday 2/7 if they're proceeding to round 2 (unsure if they will also email people who aren't progressing). Interview was 30 min with a roundtable of 8 nurses. Each nurse asked a question, all behavioral except for a clinical one (prioritization). For me the questions they had for me took about 15 min, then I had the rest of the time to ask them questions. The nurses were all very kind!
  9. Same, I figured everyone who applied got the email?
  10. Ik someone who put CICU as second choice and got an interview.
  11. For CICU it's person on Tuesday for some, Wed for others. The date and time was predetermined. I've heard of some people being assigned to a time on the half hour, but others on the hour, so I'm guessing 30min interviews
  12. Unsure how many are asked. It's staff panel interview with several nurses from the unit, but also they said "in-person peer interview panel with the unit nurses" so IDK if peer panel = my peers (other applicants) or the emailer's peers (unit staff)
  13. Pedi CICU interview invites went out last night around 7:30pm
  14. Ohh I see what you mean. I applied later and am still hopeful but losing hope haha.
  15. Ik the CICU manager was asked during meet and greet if it matters how early/late you submit and she said she wasnt looking at anything until after apps closed. So im hoping app submission time doesnt matter?
  16. In the webinar info session they said (roughly) between 4-6 positions per pedi unit, and 1-3 per adult unit that they were hiring. They gave specific # for each unit but I just recall the ranges
  17. Oh jeez now im wondering if the other pedi units will be hiring/interviewing less than initially advertised ??
  18. Where did you hear they only invited 3? Its possible the person commenting here is the same person from the bay area FB page. It's also possible whoever else has been asked isn't using social media (most of my nursing friends don't). Not sure if you're basing it off comments/posts so there's still a chance for more people to have been asked!!
  19. Ik CICU said interviews Feb 4-5 at their virtual meet and greet. Wondering if that has been changed since (seemingly) no one has been notified yet ?
  20. Does anyone know what units are hiring?
  21. Got my rejection email 10min ago. Best of luck to anyone who got an interview!
  22. Your screenshots are for adult Stanford. Stanford Children's has a different portal.
  23. Honestly luck of the draw ? the few with connections volunteering or working at places got them but thats like maybe 5-6 people. A few others got them super randomly and the rest are going in a "cohort group". So far the groups I've heard of are just medsurg. Seems like 12-15 1:1 placements that I'm aware of and 16 people in cohort groups. I've spoken to people in past cohorts w/o preceptorships who got jobs but yeah the no guarantee def sucks and I will say thats something to consider when choosing SMU. Network and make connections before you go in or early on so when they ask for your placmeent prefs you can say you know someone who can get you in (no im NOT saying go ask every nurse you rotate with during clinicals)
  24. The grades and experience this for preceptorships is totally not true. There are people in my cohort with no experience, no connections, and not in the nursing honor society (aka not top of the class) and they got really good placements. Meanwhile there's people with years of EMT or CNA experience who *are* at the top of the class that didn't get placements.
