  1. I am new to the monitoring program here in Ohio. I was terminated from my job because of a charge unrelated to nursing, but due to the charge the BON required I go through the monitoring program for 1yr. My issue is the program expects us to work as a nurse to meet the requirements, but I can't work in the nursing field because of my charge. I'm so confused and don't understand what to do.
  2. I'm in Ohio and new to the monitoring process. How often did you typically get urine tested? Blood tested? Did you ever have to give a hair sample? Also, does the BON actually contact the employer regarding receiving the consent agreement?
  3. Does the BON actually email employers to verify they received a copy of the consent agreement? I'm new to the program and nervous to give my employer a copy. I know I have to though.
  4. I have a question I am having a hard time finding the answer to. If a nurse who is already licensed and actively working gets into trouble and has an active/open criminal case: does the nurse have to report the incident to the BON and will the nurse be able to continue working within the medical field. Thanks for any help.
