  1. PICU rejections sent out today. Congrats everyone!
  2. did they tell you how many they're taking for PICU? heard nothing yet
  3. Congratulations and good luck!! I'm assuming they call everyone together at same time like other units did. Since I didn't get a call 30 mins ago I'm assuming I didn't get it.
  4. Same... or none of us 4 got the offer ?? fingers crossed and manifesting for us that they just forgot to call us today???
  5. I interviewed for PICU and did not get a call yet. I know a few others were asking too so I'm assuming they didn't get called either
  6. Ah I see. I don't think it would hinder you getting PICU in the future purely because they are more critical patients since it's a step down. and if you end up loving Cardiac you'll have option of PICU and CVICU. I say go with your gut, you wanna be on a unit you'll be happy and work culture is a huge aspect of it!
  7. I don't know about the manager but everyone on the unit was extremely friendly! they all were very supportive of one another and every nurse seemed like they were friends and interacted outside of work and it didn't seem like a chore to them! Never had a bad interaction with a nurse there. That unit also does this super cool walk out when one of the patients discharge, they gather in the hallway and cheer and have pom poms, and it's pretty cool and unique to see. I didn't choose to interview for that unit just cuz I didn't want to be only cardiac focused, but every other aspect of that unit is great!
  8. Hi, I did my pediatric clinical rotation on PCU 200. they still get 3-4 patients each, and they are all cardiac focused. I'd say if you want more variety definitely go for 400.
  9. Second interview. It was tell me about yourself, why that unit, 3-5 year plan and then 4 behavioral questions in diff categories.
  10. I wanna know this too I feel like I got harder questions this time around
  11. LOL, I just received a rejection email today from John muir (never even got contacted for an interview) and their interviews were supposed to be like end of June to July. So I assume Hospitals in general might not send official rejections until they have extended their offers to final candidates.
  12. Oh wow! I was expecting it to be more like casual questions like why nursing, what's your 5 year plan, strengths and weakness etc.
  13. My friend who's interviewing for heme onc said that it was never mentioned to her that it would be a group interview for the next round, and they had more time slots so I assume it's not. Not sure about other units.
