What level of schooling do you have and which programs are you looking for (RN to BSN,ABSN, MSN, Grad certificate)? What factors are most important to you when looking for a school to attend? To me, cost is very important. I got my bachelor's in Health Sciences at ASU and I'm planning to apply to their 12 month ABSN program as soon as I finish most of my pre-requisites. I think ASU is great in terms of my learning experience, but it's expensive, so I'll finish up my pre-reqs at the community college. I've had phone calls with some admissions people from private schools (like Carrington), as well as other universities and some can have you up to $80,000 + in debt by the time you finish. And that's just the BSN! Honestly, no one cares where you went to school once you get to the profession (as long as its accredited under the right agencies). So I figured I might as well go with what I know and keep the costs low. I can tell you that the Concurrent Enrollment Programs (CEPs) here are a partnership between the Maricopa county community colleges and NAU, ASU, GCU, and Ottawa University. I think the wait time for CEP is a bit less than if you were to apply to any of the ADN programs here. These programs are 2 years long (4 semesters) and the plan is to get you your ADN and BSN simultaneously through in-person courses at the community college and online courses from the university.
